Susie Miget is an exceptional jazz vocalist and bassist and has been charming Des Moines audiences for many years. Originally from the St. Louis area, she began performing at age six with her equally talented sisters. She has played with many jazz greats and has also led many successful jazz groups of her own. Susie’s music encompasses many different styles of jazz, from a true love of standards and straight ahead jazz to modern jazz and other related music. You will be intrigued throughout the performance with the variety, quality, intensity and true heart of it all. Susie is also co-founder and director of Creative Music Studios. Creative Music Studios is a jazz school dedicated to carrying on the tradition of jazz through education. Many of her students have gone on to become nationally known artists and many add their incredible talents to the Des Moines jazz scene.
