As a young child, Max Wellman was first exposed to jazz and standards by Ella Fitzgerald’s acclaimed series of Songbook Albums. This collection highlighted the work of specific composers in a series of double LPs that have been heralded ever since their release. Wellman honors the legacy of those recordings through a regular concert series at Noce, with each concert specifically featuring the work of a great American songbook composer. This installment features the music of Richard Rodgers.
