Join Noce & The Synergy Jazz Foundation for a new happy hour concert series featuring the great instrumental jazz musicians from all over the country. $10 tickets at the door ($5 students), drink specials at the bar, & different food options available from week to week.

Andrew Janak is an active young saxophonist/composer/arranger currently based out of Lincoln, NE after previously spending several years in Chicago, IL.

Andrew has shared the stage with jazz greats Randy Brecker, Ingrid Jensen, Christine Jensen, Gary Foster, Stefon Harris, Matt Wilson, Jeff Lederer, Jeff Hamilton, Phil Woods, Jimmy Heath and Scott Wendholt . He has also worked with various groups around the Midwest such as the Omaha Big Band, Omaha Symphony, Nebraska Jazz Orchestra, Mike Gurciullo and His Las Vegas Lab Band, Bob Lark’s Alumni Band Band, Tom Matta Big Band and Andrew Janak and Wind Armada, a progressive jazz group specializing in original music. He also has performed with national acts such as the Temptations, Johnny Mathis and Michael Feinstein.

Also an up-and-coming composer, some of Andrew’s compositions have been performed/recorded by groups around the United States including the UNL Jazz Orchestra, DePaul Jazz Ensemble with Randy Brecker, Bob Lark's Alumni Big Band and the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra. Andrew was also a finalist for the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Awards and received a Downbeat Outstanding Performance award for outstanding graduate college arrangement.

Andrew graduated with a bachelors degree in music education from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a masters of music in jazz composition from DePaul University in Chicago, IL. Currently Andrew is pursuing a DMA in jazz studies/composition from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
