Gina Gedler joins the “Foxtrot Hotshots” (under the direction of John Benoit) for an evening of vintage roaring jazz from the 1910s and 1920s! This group performs a wide variety of musical genres from the period, including Foxtrots, Dixieland Jazz, Blues, Novelty Songs, Waltzes, Tangos, Cabaret and more! So, wear your flapper gear or just come out as you are and enjoy some good time prohibition jazz from back in the day!
Gina Gedler is a regular to the Des Moines entertainment scene and has been performing for over 30 years. She has had the privilege of appearing in numerous musicals on stage and many various professional acts throughout the state and outside of the state as well.
Some of her stage performances include: “Chicago”, “Gypsy”, “Into the Woods”, “West Side Story”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, and “Les Miserables”, for the Des Moines Playhouse; “Souvenir”, “Johnny Guitar”, “A New Brain”, “Blood Brothers”, “Bat Boy”, and “Urinetown”at the Civic Center Stoner Theater for StageWest. She has also been involved with Entertainment-to-Go for over 20 years as: “Sugar” in the “Joey Libido and Sugar Show”.
In addition to her stage performances, Gina also enjoys singing with her combo of musicians for company events, parties, receptions, and in various restaurants and lounges. Gina is also the vocalist for both the Ballyhoo Foxtrot Orchestra and the Soya Vista Jazz Orchestra, as well as having the honor of performing as a guest lead vocalist for other big bands in the area.
