We’ve rounded up Des Moines’s favorite Dead-loving musicians for a jazz-ified tribute to Jerry Garcia on the 24th anniversary of his passing. Featuring celebrated local jam musician and Fong’s Pizza owner Gwen Page on keys, 2019 Jazz Hall of Fame inductee Pete Simonson on drums, Chris Walsh on upright bass, and Jeff Lind and producer Brandon Findlay on guitar. Brandon: "Jerry Garcia was always influenced by jazz music. He looked at soloing the same way a classical jazz musician would. There's already jazz in the music of the Dead -- our goal is to bring it out more." Dress comfortably for more than 2.5 hours of music!
