Nationally renowned Chicago vocalist Rose Colella takes her 'La La Land' show on the road after a sold out production at Andy's Jazz Club. Joined by a full band & Max Wellman, a singer compared to the likes of Connick & Sinatra, Ms. Colella's show is sure to delight audiences for the full weekend at Noce.

Fresh off her New York City debut at the legendary Feinstein’s/54 Below, jazz vocalist Rose Colella has released her much-anticipated album, "Cocktail" to sold-out audiences and global acclaim.  Recently featured in The New York Times,The Chicago Tribune & The Chicago Sun-Times, Rose has also received mention in All About Jazz, JAZZIZ, NPR's A Blog Supreme & LA Jazz Scene, describing her as “elegantly tipsy,” “pure seduction,” “cooly coquettish” & “beautiful and inviting. 

Rose currently performs regularly at Chicago's top jazz clubs, including The Jazz Showcase & The Green Mill, alongside the city's finest jazz musicians, as well as for corporate events and weddings.  Rose received her Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Roosevelt University in Chicago and owns the entertainment agency Lola Bard Productions, named for her grandmother, a 1930s vocalist who performed and recorded with Bobby Hackett & The Original Dixieland Jazz Band.  Rose & Lola were recently featured in The New York Times, with a story detailing Rose’s career as a jazz vocalist in Chicago, inspired by Lola’s career as a jazz vocalist in New York City. In addition to performing, Rose also holds the position Music Department Chair at The Chicago Academy for the Arts, where she teaches Jazz Voice & Piano, and she has also recently taught jazz master classes at Northwestern University & Roosevelt University.

Whether it is at Chicago’s stunning Drake Hotel or the historic Hoyt Sherman Place Theater, vocalist Max Wellman is enticing music lovers throughout the region. With a sound evoking the likes of Sinatra & Connick, Wellman’s recordings & performances promise that the Great American Songbook is alive & well for a new generation of listeners.

When Wellman teams up with his jazz trio or his Big Band, it’s an opportunity to witness his talent on a grand scale. Concerts like his annual ‘Home for the Holidays’ have become a cherished treasure throughout the region.

Over the years, Wellman has had recorded success with his ‘Comes Love’ EP (2009) and ‘Max Wellman Live with His Big Band’ (2010) was met with rave reviews, as was ‘You Must Believe In Spring’ (2014). He also routinely sells out his Songbook Project subscription service — a project that sheds light on dozens of treasured standards every year. Wellman has successfully produced concerts at many of the midwest’s gems, from historic Hoyt Sherman Place to the Des Moines Playhouse to the restored Paramount Theater in Cedar Rapids.

Coming off the release of his full-length big band album, ‘Just In Time,’ Wellman is serving as the first entertainment director at Noce, a state-of-the-art new jazz club in the heart of downtown Des Moines, Iowa.
